Hillsboro Hosta & Greenhouse is a family business started in 1990 by Alice and Leonard Weiland as the County Market. Alice and her daughter Debbie decided that a greenhouse would make a great addition to the market and later, in 2013, the County Market was sold and the greenhouse was relocated to Debbie’s yard, run by Alice and Debbie for many years.  Debbie’s daughter Nicole and her husband Scott decided in 2022 to take on this greenhouse adventure, naming it Hillsboro Hosta & Greenhouse.

The greenhouse has over 300 varieties of both common and rare hostas, with a staff that is very knowledgeable about the plants. They offer minis such as Bubbatini to giants like Empress Wu and everything in between.  They also have a huge selection of perennials and annuals.

Uniquely Hostas is a family owned and operated small business located in both Milton, WI and Elroy, WI. Their love for plants really started out with their son Justin. Justin got his father Bob into making hosta crosses and soon it became a family affair. They opened Geske’s Gardens in May 2020 selling hostas, lilies and daylilies. That same year, they took over Uniquely Hostas from longtime friends Marlene and Jonathan. In summer of 2022 they purchased a large number of hostas from the collection of Jeff Moore and Julie and Monty Carlson. This gave them lots of fun new genetics to work into their hybridizing program. Pictured are some of their new offerings!
