Springwood Gardens is located about 30 miles SW of Minneapolis and home to Karol Emmerich’s daylily farm. This visit will be “travel on your own” or work out carpools amongst yourselves.
Karol’s comment on the July 31st date, “Because I specialize in late mid season flowers, that should be dead on for peak bloom.” We plan to meet Karol at 9:00am. Parking is best at the town hall/old schoolhouse on the corner of Delaware and Old Highway 169 Blvd (view map), which is right next to the eastern entrance of the garden.
If you arrive later, no big deal, you’ll just have to find us roaming the garden.
Karol does not have potted plants for sale. If you do see something you like (and it is available for sale) you can purchase and Karol will ship. John Hagar ordered from her this spring – a few were large 2 fan plants while most were large 3,4, or even a 5 fan plant.
