Alice and her daughter Debbie decided that a green house would make a great addition to the market and later\, in 2013\, the County Market was sold and the greenhouse was relocated to Debbie's yard\, run by Alice and Debbie for many years.  Debbie's daughter Nicole and he r husband Scott decided in 2022 to take on this greenhouse adventure\, nam ing it Hillsboro Hosta &\; Greenhouse.\n\nThe greenhouse has over 300 v arieties of both common and rare hostas\, with a staff that is very knowle dgeable about the plants. Their lov e for plants really started out with their son Justin. Justin got his fath er Bob into making hosta crosses and soon it became a family affair. They opened Geske’s Gardens in May 2020 selling hostas\, lilies and daylilies . That same year\, they took over Uniquely Hostas from longtime friends Ma rlene and Jonathan. In summer of 2022 they purchased a large number of hos tas from the collection of Jeff Moore and Julie and Monty Carlson. This ga ve them lots of fun new genetics to work into their hybridizing program. P ictured are some of their new offerings!
