2025 NWHS Plant Sale – WOW!

I’ll start by saying we’re sorry to all the hosta aficionados who showed up after 9:15 am. By that time, most of the 350 plus plants we brought to the sale were already sold. We haven’t experienced anything like this during our past annual sales. Perhaps it was the harsh winter and shoppers needing to replace plants, as what happened to many of our members. Or perhaps more people are taking advantage of our sale and heeding the warning to get there when the sale starts for the best selection. In any event, we were happy to see everyone who stopped by and a huge thank you to all those who bought hostas! For the sale next year, we are exploring ways to get more hostas that are the unique, larger, and more mature plants we like to offer.

In Addition

We would like to welcome four new Northern Wisconsin Hosta Society members who joined at the sale, Dorothy Fitzgerald, Lizzie Gutierrez, Chris Hebert, and Diane Shook. We look forward to getting to know you and sharing our gardening enthuasism.

As in past years, Ann Roeder treated us with the delicious trail mix snack she prepares for our members, truly appreciated.
